Gray cover to Dr. Anthony Sakkal at American College in Beyrouth franked with Aleppo Type 1 Provisional (Arabic negative seal struck on gummed paper, cut out and used as adhesive) tied by bold HALEP 2 Nov 4 cds, alongside Arabic military censor negative seal handstamp, bkstps of DAMAS (Nov 24) and FIELD (POST OFFICE) SZ 29 (Nov 25), routed via Port Said with PASSED BY CENSOR No. 10 British civil handstamp and French "OUVERT par l'AUTORITE MILITAIRE 953" handstamp, forwarded to Aleppo (Dec 29 arrival) with bkstps of DAMAS (Dec 14) and ARMY POST OFFICE A (Dec) and on front "Arab Government Publication Department" negative seal handstamp (K&U Fig. 37), tiny piece missing upper left corner, Kaczmarczk & Unwin record only four covers bearing this stamp and the quadruple censorship is extraordinarily rare in its own right, especially nice with all four markings together on front, Fine.
