1855, cover to England with 9a rate mixed franking of 1/2a blue (Die I), 1/2a blue (Die II), two copies of 2a green and cut-to-shape copy of 4a blue & red (Head Die II, Frame Die I), tied by diamonds of dots and red English ''PAID/6 JA 6/1856'', red framed Madras G.P.O. transit ds, m/s 'Per Steamer Via Madras and Southampton' and 'Misdirected England' (Ramsgate instead of Kent) alongside, and with (H)amandroog Paid despatch ds, blue transit cds and blue Ramsgate cds (7 JA 1856) on reverse. A most attractive franking.
