”Imperio Padrão Casa da Moeda”: This exceptional collection begins with Reinaldo Bruno Prachia and goes on with José Maria Gotti Alvarenga. The collection received dozens of awards and was the last time exhibited at “Lubrapex 2016” (Viana do Castelo), where it got a big gold medal. The master pieces are: Mint set blocks stamps 50, 100 and 200 reis Dom Pedro II, small head (only two sets are known); Postal stationery 300 reis with strip of three “Dom Pedro II”, small head, to Liverpool. Bigger multiple used in letter; strip of 4x200 reis Dom Pedro II, small head, mint, and used block of six (unique); cover with 200 reis Dom Pedro II, small head, sent by Princess Isabel to the Duke of Lemours, her father in law; cover sent from Rio de Janeiro to Roma with eighteen adhesives 200 reis Dom Pedro II, small head, largest known unit; block of fifty stamps 10 reis Dom Pedro II, big head, largest known unit of this value; block of four, mint, 100 reis Dom Pedro II, big head with vertical lines (RHM 55). 1843-1990, Collection starting Bull´s eye first issue with mint and used stamps, scarce cancellations, many duplicates and few forgeries, cat's-eye issues with pairs and blocks in seldom offered quantities, Dom Pedro specialized mint and used, wide range of cancellations on early issues, classic issues with perfins, later issues with blocks of four mint and used, complete sheets, souvenir / sheets and miniature sheets, imperf S/S pairs, early air mail covers and Varig stamps, most later issues with FDCs, early booklets and booklet pains, 1945 imperf issues in different language booklets, early maximum cards, overall a huge stock in five large boxes with very high retail value, please take time and inspect carefully!

1843, BULLS EYES FIRST DAY CANCELLATION, 90 r. black on yellowish paper, fine impression of fresh colour, full to large margins, slight scissors cut/crease at lower left corner (irrelevant), centrically obliterated by clear strike of rimless c.d.s. "CORREIO GERAL DA CORTE 1 - 8 - 1843", certificate Brian Moorhouse. This is one of only two recorded first day cancellations on the 90 r. A MARVELLOUS GEM OF BRAZILIAN AND AMERICAN PHILATELY!

1843, BULL EYES, a marvellous collection of 24 stamps (4 copies of 30 r., 19 copies of 60 r. and one copy of 90 r.), all with full to huge margins and neatly obliterated by clear strikes of different postmarks (c.d.s., straight line, oval etc.), also 2 pairs (each with certificate) and marginal copies. 1845, 'Inclinado' 300r black horizontal pair clear at right side otherwise good to large margins used with two partial 'CORREIO GERAL DA CORTE' cds in red, a pair is the largest known used multiple of this value and this is one of three pairs currently recorded (ref. Walter Goncalves Taveira), ex Guinle and Santos; Moorhouse and Juchert certificates (both 2006)

1868, Cover with pair 430 Reis yellow, well to large margins on two sides, tied by clear mill-wheel obliterator, "RIO DE JANEIRO 23/JUL" cds. and red boxed "P.D." alongside, french transit mark „Bresil-Bordeaux” blue cds. and transit "AUS FRANKREICH PER AACHEN FRANCO 18/8" blue cds. to Dresden and there forwarded to Königstein and with German States NDP 1 Groschen red taxed "DRESDEN VII / 19/8/68" ds., light toned at border, very attractive and outstandig mix franking, magnificent showpiece of the highest calibre.
