1887/1950, Mint collection as the part of the famous specialized Alex Petrie collection, on pages with handwritten sundry details, sketches etc., from 1887-91 King Chulalongkorn set with a lot different 1889-1899 overprinted stamps, with varies types including 1889/90 1a. on 2 a. (SG 20-22), eight copies of the 2 a./3 a. (SG 26/27) optd. types 1/2 resp. subtypes and small type-set surcharges (SG 29/30), etc., 1894-99 series incl. 1a. with Roman Atts (SG 54h), pairs: of 1a. on 12a Roman ”att” with normal (SG55h+55), 2a. on 64a. Roman ”atts” with normal (SG56+56h), and many others, followed by the 1899-1904 and later Definitives and Provisionals, complete sets mostly, plus varieties, types of overprint, pairs etc., up to 1950 'King Bhumibol and Palace' set. A valuable, specialized and almost fine collection as a result of a labour of love, for the amateur of the genre (SG about ₤20,000). (S)

1883-1943: Double collection mint and used, from first issue including the unissued 1 fuang red, with almost all stamp issued, mint and/or used, a great diversity of overprint types, varieties as shifted overprints or overprints both sides or pairs imperf between etc., not all the key items are perfect as stamps somewhat toned and few overprints are not as issued as 1902 Battambang provisionals with later overprints, but still an almost fine and valuable collection.

1882: Cover bearing QV 2c and 8c tied by a full and readily legible strike of the very RARE "BRITISH CONSULATE BANGKOK" oval addressed to London with appropriate Singapore PAID 22.6.82 transit and London arrival on reverse. This previously unrecorded cover, one of only a handful known, was discovered in a lot at a European Auction with a cover from the same correspondence (but cancelled by the later and far less rare Bangkok cds). A phenomenal find and major rarity for the Thailand specialist and student of postal history. Adhesives creased, 8 c torn upper left corner, split at right and discoloured. Certificate BPA.

Straits Settlements post in Bangkok, 1882, "B" overprint on 32c on 2 annas. The stamp has only the visible perforation flaws and is otherwise in good unrepaired condition with original gum. 1867, Incoming Mail, USA 30 C. orange and 24 C. gray (little short perf) on small cover to Bangkok, stamps tied by fancy negativ star cancellations endorsed „via Southampton”, red „N.York Br. Pkt. Nov 13” c.d.s, red „48” credit, red „London 23 No 67” transit and red double-circle datestamp on back, very fine and extremly rare destination. This cover is the forth earliest known incoming mail to Siam with postage stamps, and the most beautiful of all, Ex Gibsen collection (sold 1944) and Paliafito collection, Philatelistic Foundation certificate, cover with missing backflap, great interest to Thailand postal history.
